Welcome fellow patriots! Lt. John Trevet's Company is a group of volunteers dedicated to educating the public through reenactments and living history in the Mid-Atlantic Department of the Continental Line. On our site you will find our list of upcoming events, photos from previous battles, and a bit of history of the men who lived and died serving our country. We would be pleased to welcome any interested parties in joining our company.

HISTORY
WELCOME ABOARD
We are recreating Continental Marines who served on board the Continental sloop Providence. The Marines we portray were recruited for just the voyage's duration (Moekin, 28). Therefore, the actual Marine company could and would change personnel. The one constant in the this period is Lt. Trevet's leadership. His diary is the basis for the unit's history.

Lt. Trevet assumes command of the Providence's Marine company.
Providence's cruise captures four British supply ships.
In company with the ship Alfred three more captured.
Inconclusive engagement with the frigate Diamond.
Capture of British brig after heavy engagement.
Inconclusive engagement with ship Mary off Sandy Hook, NJ.
Captured British privateer off Charleston.
Marines under Capt. Trevet land in Nassau and capture the fort.
Returning to New Bedford with prizes from Nassau, Trevet leaves the Providence.
